Course Description: Expository Writing English is the required writing course for all students at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and it is usually completed in the first semester. It consists of a series of workshops spread over four days for a combined 20 to 24 hours of training. As course instructors provided guidance, teachers sat in small groups to discuss how they would implement the lessons for students. Teachers have the option to decide how many modules they want to include over the course of the school year. To date, about 11, California teachers have participated in the CSU program.
